Pumpkin Pie Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
Anybody Want To Try This??? DO!! Its really good and very appealing to the eyes too. Dont be afaid of the three step thing, because the bit of extra effort (I mean listening to the timer while relaxing) makes a delicious alternative to pumpkin pie that recieves endless compliments. Thank you from my whole family!!

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
This was awsome and easy to recover the measurement mistakes I made. I thought that one and a half cups was 12 ounces as cranberrys but I needed more like three cups. So i started it, and it was too thin. This didnt cause any probs, just added more crans and a bit more sugar. Everyone really liked it Especailly me. Thanks, this is a new favorite and made me very HAPPY

Pumpkin Pie Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
The name fits perfectly. But beware! This is the first time I made bread, So I filled the pans too high, and as they rose they gooshed all over. This also affected the cook time, adding on an extra 30 mins or more. Made a second time, adding a bit extra of everything and split it between three pans: Perfect. I swear my picky cousins didnt eat anything else that weekend and ALL FIVE LOAVES DISAPPEARED!!! Just wanted to add another 5 to this wonderful, soft and desirable bread

Banana Bread V

DONT OVER LOOK THIS RECIPE!! Even though none of the "victims" ate this first time bread recipe (because they had divine pumpkin bread {pumpkin pie bread from this site, also a first time experiment} ) I still gave it a five cuz when I got my hands on it.... YUM! I was surprized that nobody even tasted it! Seriously, with all the Thanksgiving food around, the loaves I made went through TWO family parties unharmed. They missed out big-time. Two bad for them!! We have been slicing it with no problem, toasting it and then butter. GooD! Gotta be hot! Cook time was pretty off, about twenty minutes longer then equated, but who cares!

Peking Duck

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
This was a very uncomplicated recipe and everyone raved at my spectacular Thanksgiving duck! I'd never made duck for Thanksgiving so I am so glad I tried this recipe. I did not have a steamer so I placed the duck on the wire rack in a large roasting pan and added about 1/2 inch of water to the bottom, covered it with lid and "steamed" it right in the roaster. Then just turned up the heat and removed the lid to crisp the skin and baste every 30 minutes till done. It was perfect. Even my friend's little dog (who never pays much attention to me when they come over) is now my best friend after I fed her some of this duck. The meat was quite moist and juicy and not fatty at all. Oh, I did add 1 tsp. of orange extract to the basting mixture which imparted a lovely aroma to the meat. The whole thing went great with my homemade chutney and greengage plum jam sauce.

Unbelievable Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2008
WOW. Thi recipe is the BEST dinner roll recipe ever! I actually did mine in my new Kitchen Aid Mixer. I just warmed the liquids minus the eggs and butter and added it to the mixing bown and added the yeast to that, mixing with the dough hook. Then i mixed the eggs and the melted butter and added that to the liquid mixture. I gradully added the flour until the dough was no longer sticky. Yum yum yum!
