About me:
Hmmmmm this part is hard for me. I'm rather eclectic and when I describe what it is that I do for a living I tell people I play with food. Yes, technically I'm a chef, a personal chef to 21 people to be exact, but I feel I'm more than that at times. I'm responsible for meeting the culinary and health needs of this lovely "family" and while I take that responsibility VERY seriously, I try to make things fun. I'm not afraid of taking risks and defying the conventions of "serious culinary art". I believe that a lot of people don't cook because they simply tend to feel they have to be too rigid with things, following recipes to the letter. I think food is an adventure....don't be afraid of taking the road less travelled.

Mexican Wedding Cakes II

I like making these for Christmas, they're quite yummy! Very important to wait until they completely cool before rolling in powdered sugar. Give them a couple minutes on the baking sheet before you transfer to a wire wrack, they will be a lot easier to handle. My only cimplaint: wish I'd had a melon baller to make them perfectly even : (

Fabulous! I couldn't find my grandmother's recipe (the one we have used every year since I was a kid), so I used this one... it was perfect! Everyone loved it.

Cornbread Sausage Casserole

This was awful; too sweet; I don't know what I was expecting, but a soft, doughy, sweet mess was not it. This was something I asked no one to taste not even my son who usually will try anything once. I threw it away. GT
