About me:
I have learned from many good cooks in my family: my mom and dad, my grandpa, both grandmas... so I come by my love of cooking quite honestly. I am a SAHM mom to two preadolescent soccer players/musicians, graduate student, and wife. Our household is very busy so most times weekday meals are quick.

Seasoned Oyster Crackers

I really like this combo of seasonings, especially with the addition of some red pepper flakes. I will try these again sometime and bake them. I am sure they are good either way. Thank you!

Chili Cheese Snacks

Reviewed on Oct. 31, 2008 by Janine
These are quite tasty. I think a few additional spices could be used, even jalapenos would be good in this recipe. Remember to slice these thin. I had a problem with them being very gooey and sticky while trying to slice them. A reviewer below has a great idea about putting them in the fridge a day ahead to make slicing easier. Also, that would allow the flavors to hang out a little longer and really be good. I will make these again for sure!

Panzanella Salad

Reviewed on Oct. 21, 2008 by Janine
I made this salad exactly as written. While good, it was not my fave. (sorry pixie!) I am a big bread lover, but even I was a bit turned off when the bread got a little mushy. If I were to serve this to guest, I would wait until the last minute to stir in the bread.
